About UsThe Securus Group was formed in 2008 in an effort to establish a higher standard of professionalism in the contract security service, private investigation, and security training industries. The company founder, Michael Hickman, is a native of Jacksonville. Mr. Hickman served Honorably in the United States Army Infantry and is a decorated combat veteran of Operation Just Cause (Panama) and Operation Desert Shield/Storm (Iraq). Mr. Hickman has extensive training as a police officer with federal and local agencies and personally oversees all strategic planning, consulting, and security assignments. Our community-based security programs are successful because we fully understand the nature of the communities we secure, the people and property we protect, and the deterrent effect we promote. The Securus Group is the only agency in Jacksonville fully-licensed to provide security officers, conduct private investigations, and train other security officers. We offer customized security solutions for commercial, industrial and residential sites throughout Jacksonville and surrounding areas. We build relationships with our clients because we listen to their needs and provide solutions based on those needs.
